Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. Free Medical Camp
In Dhaka, Bangladesh, more than 56,000 people live inside Geneva camp. Nearly 6,000 displaced families share this [music] densely packed settlement. For many residents, healthc care is out of reach.
Hospital visits are expensive and many families delay treatment until it becomes serious. So, Helpster Charity partnered with Almanar Hospital to bring health care directly to the community.
A team of 40 doctors, nurses, volunteers, and field staff mobilized for the outreach. On outreach day, 822 residents received free consultations, diagnosis, and treatment from trained medical professionals, 61% of them being children from 0 to 10 years.
For many people here, this was their first access to proper medical care. One community, hundreds of patients reached.
Because access to health care should never depend on where you live.
