Admission Process
At Al Manar Hospital Ltd., we strive to make your admission process as smooth and efficient as possible. Patients can be admitted either through our Outpatient Department (OPD) or directly from the Emergency Department based on their medical condition. We are committed to making your experience as efficient and stress-free as possible. Here's a breakdown of our patient admission process:
Admission from OPD
- After consulting with a doctor in OPD, if admission is necessary, the doctor will provide a prescription for admission.
- Patients are required to arrange for necessary financial arrangements before admission.
Admission from Emergency
- In case of emergencies, patients are evaluated by our emergency team and admitted to the appropriate ward or critical care unit as needed.
- If you arrive at our Emergency Department experiencing a medical emergency, our highly trained team will prioritize your care.
- You will undergo a rapid assessment to determine the severity of your condition and receive immediate medical attention.
Diagnostic Procedures (if applicable)
- Depending on your condition, the emergency department team may perform various diagnostic tests to pinpoint the cause of your illness or injury.
- These tests may include blood work, X-rays, CT scans, or other necessary procedures.
Welcome to Your Room
- After completing the admission formalities, a healthcare professional will escort you to your designated room.
- They will familiarize you with your surroundings and answer any questions you may have about your care plan.
Required Documents
- NID
- Consultant’s prescription (if applicable)
- Passport (for foreign patients)
- Employee ID card (for corporate patients)
- List of current medications you are taking (if applicable)
- Advance directives (if applicable)
- Personal comfort items.
Admission Desk
Our Admission Desk operates 24/7 for your convenience. Please provide necessary information for efficient patient registration and record-keeping.
Billing and Payment
- Initial Deposit: A deposit is required upon admission based on the room type and anticipated length of stay.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash and credit cards. Cheques are not accepted.
- Billing Updates: Updated bills can be obtained from the IPD Billing Section on Level 01.
Checking Out Time
Checking out time will be at 12:00 noon. After 12 noon, next day’s rent will be calculated automatically by software.
Retaining Bed
When the patient is in a critical care unit, he/she is also allowed to retain a bed/room. However, the patient will be charged for double occupancy (Bed charge + critical care unit charges).
Bed Transfer
In the event of bed transfer during the course of treatment, the higher category bed charge will be applicable on the day of transfer. However, the charges for higher category will be applicable only if the patient has stayed more than 3 hours in the higher category.
OT Booking
Prepayment for OT charges is required to schedule surgeries.
